Course Structure
- The MS in Global Health program is supported by staff and faculty who have expertise and research in a variety of fields that represent the interdisciplinary nature of global health.
- Further, our faculty have research partnerships throughout the world that provide international field work opportunities for our students\x92 Capstone Projects.
- The Capstone Project is something we like to call \x91the secret sauce\x92 of our program.
Admission Requirements
Academic Requirements
You need the following GPA score:
Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to 3 on a US 4.0 grading scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on a 4.0 scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).
Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).
For optimal consideration, students applying to the program should have the following:
- Bachelor\'s degree from an accredited college or university
- Upper-level science courses (at least two)
- Statistics (not required but highly recommended)
- 3.0 GPA or above
Required application materials must be attached to your online application. Test scores should be ordered and sent by the testing service to the University of Notre Dame, institution code 1841.

- Submit a statement of intent (instructions below).
- Submit three letters of recommendation (instructions below).
- Submit the application fee by credit card, check, or money order using the payment system associated with the online application.
- Submit an unofficial transcript (ultimately, an official transcript will be required).
- Arrange for the submission of official Graduate Record Examination (GRE) General Test (or MCAT) scores. The scores reported must result from a test taken within the last five years. To expedite the review process, you may also upload preliminary (unofficial) scores, if available.
