Academic Requirements
Admission requirements:
A minimum grade of C+ (2.3) is required to qualify towards the graduate certificate. An overall GPA of 3.0 is required for completion of the certificate.
Graduate Certificates in Public Health (PHLD, PHSC, PHVP)
1) A professional resume
2) ONE of the following:
- Copy of professional designation certificate (e.g., CIPHI, RN, OT, PT)
- Letter of employment (must be original on official letterhead and confirm the job title and employment period)
- Professional reference letter from a mentor or colleague (must be original on official letterhead and confirm the job title and employment period)
English Language Requirement
All applicants are required to demonstrate ONE of the following requirements, regardless of citizenship or country of origin:
- Applicants meet the requirement if they have a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution where English is the primary language of instruction.
- The Faculty of Graduate Studies reserves the right to determine whether a particular institution is recognized as an institution in which the language of instruction is English.
- A satisfactory score on one of the approved English language proficiency exams:
- TOEFL: minimum iBT score of 80 (CUCA Institution code: 0916)
- IELTS: (Academic Module) minimum overall score of 6.0 with no individual band below 5.5
- MELAB: minimum score of 85
- CAEL: minimum overall score of 60 with at least 60 on each subtest
