Academic

The standard academic entry requirement for the MSc in Green Chemistry is at least a 2:2 degree (or an overseas equivalent) in a chemistry / science related subject.

Entry requirements can also take into account relevant prior work experience and we would encourage potential candidates to contact the department to discuss suitability if they are interested in pursuing the course. One of the important requirements is knowledge / experience in Organic Chemistry. We have had students from a range of academic backgrounds on the course and the Course Director is happy to look at transcripts or details of work experience to see if you have a suitable background.

English Language

For students whose first language is not English, the department requires you to have an IELTS score of at least 6.5 or equivalent to pursue postgraduate study here.

Students will be required to meet the English Language requirements of both the University and UK Visas and Immigration.

English Proficiency: IELTS 6 or equivalent.
