Admission Requirements
Academic Requirements
1. Apply to the Graduate College and satisfy the minimum admissions requirements of the Graduate College. International applicants must satisfy the international admissions requirements.
2. A baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited U.S. institution of higher learning or a degree from a non-U.S. institution of higher education that is judged equivalent to a U.S. baccalaureate degree by the International Admissions Office.
3. Professional resume or curriculum vitae.
4. A formal statement of purpose of at least 250 words explaining the applicant\xc2\x92s educational and career background and future objectives, as well as how these objectives correspond to the MHS program.
5. A one hour long writing exam. Dates and times can be obtained by emailing mhsinfo@boisestate.edu. Official GRE scores no older than three years, or TOEFL/IELTS for non-US residents, can be used in lieu of the writing exam.
6. An in-person meeting with the MHS Program Director. Applicants living outside of southwestern Idaho can arrange for a phone interview.
7. Three letters of recommendation. It is suggested that at least one should come from a former professor. Other suitable references include employment supervisors and volunteer coordinators.
English Proficiency: IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
