Admission Requirements
Academic Requirements
You must have a
- health-related professional qualification with a minimum of three years post qualifying experience and experience in working alongside students
- an honours degree or equivalent
You must have an IELTS score of 6.5 with a minimum of 5.5 in all skills or equivalent. If your English language skill is currently below IELTS 6.5 we recommend you consider a Sheffield Hallam University Pre-sessional English course which will enable you to achieve an equivalent English score.
Nursing and Midwifery Council registration requirements
For registration as a nurse teacher with the Nursing and Midwifery Council, you must
be on the NMC professional register
have a recognised qualification in a specific field of practice
hold a mentor qualification or suitable previous experience
an honours degree or equivalent
have support from your employer and access to a practice assessor
English Proficiency: IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
