Academic Requirements
You need the following GPA score:
Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to 2.8 on a US 4.0 grading scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on a 4.0 scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).
Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).
- Meet all University admission requirements as listed in the Old Dominion University Catalog;
- Submit transcripts of all undergraduate work with an undergraduate GPA of 2.8 overall and 3.0 in the major (students with a GPA lower than 3.0 in the major may be admitted provisionally);
- Provide two letters of recommendation that showcase the applicant\'s academic ability and leadership;
- Provide a well-crafted, 1-page, single-spaced personal statement;
- Provide a writing sample that demonstrates analytical and integrative thinking;
- Submit official scores from the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) taken within the last five years;
- Provide a resume that describes the applicant\xc2\x92s academic and professional background;
