Course Structure

  1. This course provides a challenging programme of study, oriented to the particular requirements of the conservation of historic buildings. It is designed to balance strategic analysis with a good working knowledge of core techniques.
  2. The School of Surveying and Planning is a RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) partner institution and this course is offered for inclusion within the partnership arrangements. Upon successful completion graduates will be able to register for the final assessment programme of the RICS.
  3. The taught modules aim to hone your professional skills. Alongside your academic studies, you improve your skills in:

Admission Requirements

Academic Requirements

  • Applicants should normally have a 2:1 or 1st class degree. This can be in any discipline, although a related subject is an advantage.
  • Some experience of working in the industry would also be useful.
All non-UK applicants must meet our English language requirements. For this course it is Academic IELTS of 6.5 overall, with special conditions in all elements.\xc2\xa0

Applicants who do not meet the English language requirements may be eligible to join our pre-sessional English language course.

Applicants from one of the recognised Majority English Speaking Countries (MESCs) do not need to meet these requirements.
