Academic Requirements
You need the following GPA score:
Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to 3 on a US 4.0 grading scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on a 4.0 scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).
Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).
To be considered for acceptance into Villanova\xc2\x92s online graduate degree program, you must have:
- A bachelor\xc2\x92s degree from an accredited university or college
- A minimum 3.0 undergraduate grade point average (GPA)
- A minimum of 3 years relevant work experience
Applicants must submit the following:
- A completed application form (call 1-866-220-0017 to request an application)
- A one-time, non-refundable $85 application fee
- Signed authorization for University Alliance to obtain official transcripts for all colleges and universities attended
- Three letters of recommendation, preferably from professionals in the applicant\xc2\x92s proposed field of study
- A r\xc3\xa9sum\xc3\xa9 or curriculum vitae detailing the applicant\xc2\x92s employment history, job responsibilities and professional accomplishments
- An essay describing the applicant\xc2\x92s relevant work experience and ultimate career goals(MS in HRD candidates \xc2\x96 500 words)
Applicants who graduated from a non-U.S. institution of higher education may be required to provide additional documentation.
- Applicants who are not U.S. citizens must submit an official copy of their TOEFL results with a minimum score of 550 on the paper-based test or 80 on the Internet-based test. Exceptions: Applicants who earned their undergraduate degree from an accredited U.S. institution of higher education do not have to provide TOEFL results. Applicants from English-speaking countries and native English-speakers living abroad may also request a TOEFL exemption.
- Applicants who earned their degree from a non-U.S. institution of higher education must submit an official credential evaluation of all degree-bearing transcripts, completed by an accredited credential evaluation agency. The credential evaluation must be obtained and paid for by the applicant.
