Admission Requirements
Academic Requirements
You will need an initial degree. This may be in ICT or in a subject containing technical, creative or otherwise appropriate elements that are relevant to ICT, or any other subject which has involved a substantial amount of constructive use of ICT. Examples include engineering, business studies and media studies. We will consider other postgraduate qualifications or work experience as evidence of ICT knowledge, understanding and application. You may have worked with complex document or presentation templates, handling databases, modelling with spreadsheets, programming, statistical analysis, web site design or graphic design.
ICT trainees may have curriculum `gaps\xc2\xb4 to fill during the course. Because of this, a capacity for disciplined self study is a characteristic of trainee teachers who do well. Other key personal characteristics are curiosity, perseverance and organisation. If you are a graduate with these qualities in abundance you should thrive on the course.
GCSE Requirements: Before beginning a course you will also need to provide evidence of having achieved GCSE grades A - B (or equivalent) in English Language and Mathematics. The School holds English and Mathematics equivalence tests for applicants who lack these qualifications.
