Academic Requirements

Bachelor\xc2\x92s degrees that grant direct access

If you hold one of the degrees listed below, you are considered to meet all admission requirements and have direct access to apply to the Master\xc2\x92s programme in Nanoscience.

  • BSc in Nanoscience from the University of Copenhagen (reserved access*)
  • BSc in Nanoscience from another Danish or Nordic university
Other Bachelor\xc2\x92s degrees

If you have a Bachelor\xc2\x92s degree other than those listed above, you must submit additional documentation along with your application so the University can evaluate whether or not you meet the admission requirements.

If you have a Bachelor\xc2\x92s degree in following programs from the University of Copenhagen or other Danish or international universities

  • Biochemistry
  • Physics
  • Chemistry
  • Science and IT with specialization in Physics or Chemistry
  • Material Science
  • Molecular Biology

You may be admitted if your programme includes the following elements:

  • Introductory physics (electromagnetism and quantum theory)
  • Introductory chemistry (organic and inorganic)

In addition, you may be admitted, if you after an individual assessment,
are deemed to possess educational/academic qualifications equivalent to the
requirements listed above.

English Proficiency: IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
