Academic Requirements
You need the following GPA score:
Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to 2.75 on a US 4.0 grading scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on a 4.0 scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).
Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).
Admission Requirements:
- Students who have only high school course work will be admitted based on their complete high school records or National Testing Authority results. UNLV will convert scores to the "A" = four system. A result of a 3.0 ("B" average) is required for admission.
- International students who have taken less than one year of full-time, postsecondary study will be admitted based on high school and postsecondary results. In addition to the high school results noted above, students must have results of a 2.5 ("B" average) in their postsecondary courses.
- International students with more than one year of full-time, postsecondary study can be admitted without high school records if UNLV can award 24 or more semester transfer credits. To be admitted, you must have results of a 2.5 average ("B" average) in their postsecondary courses.
- Bachelor\xc2\x92s Degree \xc2\x96 You must hold a four-year baccalaureate from a regionally accredited institution or an approved equivalent.
- Grade Point Average \xc2\x96 You must have a minimum overall grade point average of 2.75 (4.00=A) for the bachelor\xc2\x92s degree or a minimum 3.00 (4.00=A) for the last two years (60 semester hours).
- Additional Factors \xc2\x96 Factors that may also be considered by the academic department to which you are applying include test scores (like the GRE or GMAT), the type of course work completed during undergraduate studies, letters of recommendation, and any other supporting documents you may be asked to submit for your application.
