Admission Requirements

Academic Requirements

You need the following GPA score:

Required score: 3

Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to 3 on a US 4.0 grading scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on a 4.0 scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).

Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).

Comprehensive Exam

All M.A. students, admitted prior to fall 2012, are required to complete a comprehensive exam at the conclusion of their program of study. The purpose of the comprehensive exam is to evaluate a student\'s ability to analyze, synthesize and problem-solve a case study within the context of training and development.

Portfolio

All M.A. students, admitted fall 2012 and on are required to submit a professional portfolio of course-related work samples that reflects their accomplishments throughout their tenure in the program.

Internship and Final Project Seminar

Students are required to complete an internship course and final project seminar course. Since most students are working adults the internship provides flexible options to complete this requirement.

Academic Standards

Students must earn a grade of \xc2\x93B\xc2\x94 or higher in their first six credits. Students must maintain a 3.0 grade point average (\xc2\x93B\xc2\x94) to graduate. If students do not maintain a 3.0 GPA their matriculation in the program may be discontinued.
