Admission Requirements
Academic Requirements
- a relevant undergraduate degree at grade 2.2 or above (e.g. social sciences)
- or any undergraduate degree at grade 2.2 or above plus basic counselling skills training/experience
- or a relevant professional qualification and experience (e.g. social work, nursing, teaching, youth work)
- or, in exceptional circumstances, mature applicants may present a portfolio demonstrating the ability to study counselling at M level
- experience of working in a helping role with people is desirable for all applicants and required for those without any formal qualifications.
Part of the selection process for this training will require suitable applicants to come to the university for a half day in which they will be given further information about the course and have two interviews with members of the MA teaching team.
English Proficiency: IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
