Program Curriculum
Course Structure
- Media tools. The summer Digital Media Workshop ensures that all students have a strong grasp of the tools used to gather content.
- Classroom interactions. Courses in the Fall Term are teacher-directed, with students learning both concepts and skills through in-class and out-of-class exercises and assignments.
- Team projects. In the Winter Term, students are divided into teams and, under the direction of faculty members, travel to a domestic or international site for about a week to gather content through interviews, photographs, audio and video.
- Individual capstone projects. In the Spring Term, students complete an individual capstone project as a culminating experience
Admission Requirements
Academic Requirements
- Recommended GPA of 3.0 or higher for undergraduate work
- Official transcripts of all undergraduate and any graduate studies
- A recommended combined verbal and quantitative score of 297 or higher on the GRE (or 1000 the GRE taken before 7/31/11), and a score of 3.5 or higher on the 6-point analytical writing scale, taken within the last five years OR a recommended Miller Analogies Test (MAT) score of 400 or higher taken within the last five years

- TOEFL is required unless English is the student\'s native language. A minimum TOEFL score of 79 (ib) or 213 (cb) is required
