Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to 3 on a US 4.0 grading scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on a 4.0 scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).
Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).
Admission Requirements
- Have a baccalaureate degree from an accredited fouryear college or university.
- A completed university application form via csumentor.
- Have a minimum GPA of 3.00 (A=4.00) in the last 90 quarter units (60 semester units).
- Establish a three-member Program Committee comprised of faculty representing programs included in the proposed interdisciplinary program.
- The Program Committee Chair, who serves as primary advisor, must be from a department within the university that offers a graduate degree.
- Develop a Plan of Study and have it approved by the graduate coordinator(s) of each participating graduate program, the Chair(s) of each participating undergraduate department, the Dean( s) of the school(s) in which the programs are located, and the AVP for Academic Programs.
- Satisfy the Graduation Writing Assessment Requirement (GWAR).
