Admission Requirements

Academic Requirements

Candidates must have a primary degree with a minimum grade of 2:1 in one of the social sciences (adult education, community work, social care, sociology,\xc2\xa0political science, economics, psychology, anthropology, education etc.) or have a minimum grade of 2:1 in the Postgraduate Diploma in Adult, Community and Further\xc2\xa0Education/the Higher Diploma in Further Education.

Please note: The University may waive these conditions in certain cases.

Selection will be based on application, interview and references. The interview will include a discussion of the candidate\xc2\x92s proposed research topic.

English Proficiency: IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
