Admission Requirements
Academic Requirements
Applicants to the department must meet general University requirements as specified in the graduate catalog, and have completed 15 semester hours (five courses) in undergraduate journalism, advertising or public relations, or have substantial professional experience in a communication discipline as determined by the Department of Journalism graduate faculty. The application must also include:
- Application form;
- Two official transcripts from all colleges or universities attended;
- Statement of no more than 250 words describing academic and/or professional objectives;
- Three letters of recommendation; and
- GRE general test scores.
English Proficiency: IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
