Academic Requirements

Applicant Qualifications
  • Applicant must hold at least a bachelor degree or its equivalent in any field of study from an accredited university. For international degree holders, the degree must be on the Office of Civil Service Commission\xc2\x92s approved list.
  • Citizens of the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, or New Zealand are exempt from the English language proficiency requirement.
  • Applicant must provide 2 letters of recommendation from professors and/or employers who are able to evaluate applicant\xc2\x92s academic and/or professional performance.
  • Applicants who would like to study in Plan B (Individual Study in Labour Economics and Human Resource Management) must have at least one year of work experience or permission from the Admission Selection Committee.
  • Applicants with little or no background in Economics, Mathematics, and Statistics are required to take pre-session courses before the first semester commences. Exemptions may be granted upon providing satisfactory evidence of proficiency in these areas.
  • Applicant must be approved by the Admission Selection Committee.

  4. Official transcript from the college or university previously attended
  5. Photocopy of identification card/passport
  6. Photocopy of marriage certificate (only if current name is different from that printed in other documents)
  7. English language proficiency test result with a minimum score of 520 on CU-TEP or TOEFL (PBT or equivalent) or 5.5 on IELTS.
  8. 2 letter of recommendations from professors and/or employers who are able to evaluate applicant\xc2\x92s academic and/or professional performance
  9. Description of current vocation, responsibilities and activities (typed on one A4 page)
  10. Original document from employers verifying applicant\xc2\x92s work experience of at least one year.
  11. Check/money order for 800 Baht, (approximately $US30), payable to Faculty of Economics, Chulalongkorn University

English Proficiency: IELTS 5.5 or equivalent.
