Admission Requirements
Academic Requirements
1. Bachelor\'s degree
A completed Bachelor\'s degree in a relevant discipline, such as Communication Studies, Linguistics, or in a modern language Students with a Bachelor\'s degree in a different subject may also apply, but we strongly recommend that you contact us for advice.
2. Academic criteria
An average score of 7.5 in the 2nd and 3rd year of a Dutch Bachelor\'s programme, or equivalent scores in a non-Dutch system. Your Bachelor\'s thesis should score at least 8.
Sufficient talent for scientific research, as demonstrated in your Bachelor\'s thesis or in a dedicated research proposal.
3. A proficiency in English
The language requirements for Master\'s specialisation in Language and Communication differ from the general language requirements!
In order to take part in the programme, you need to have a sufficient level of English. This requirement has been satisfied when the student provides us with one of these documents:
- TOEFL score of >250 (computer based)
- IELTS scroe of >7.0
- Cambridge Certificate of Advanced English (CAE) or Cambridge Proficiency in English (CPE), with a mark of at least C
