Program Overview
Humanities and Fine Arts (All Areas of Concentration) Humanities and Fine Arts concentrations fall under Liberal Arts and General Studies, depending on varying 4-year colleges. At the two-year level, none of the Areas of Concentration should be confused with declaring a major; rather, they are program tracks that are recognized by Alabama Transfers for the specific purpose of transferring to a four-year college. Upon completion of this course of study, students are awarded an Associate's degree that is transferable. Humanities and Fine Arts disciplines cover a variety of disciplines, but they do share one thing in common; they focus on man's contributions to the arts whether we are talking performance based, art based, music based, language based, etc.... Student who explore career pathways in the Humanities and Fine arts may be interested in the following areas: Art, Art History, Photography, Film and Television, Music, Theater and more.
