Academic Requirements
Admission to the Master of Social Change and Development is open to applicants who have satisfactorily completed a AQF level 7 qualification. In exceptional cases applicants can gain entry by producing evidence of other approved qualifications and relevant experience.
Advanced standing may be granted to applicants who have studied in an aligned (as social work, welfare, human resource management, politics, health, environmental studies, indigenous studies, economics, agriculture and education) or cognate (sociology, geography, anthropology and development studies) area or to those who can demonstrate that they have two years of relevant work experience in a developing country or indigenous community in either a NGO or government.
Candidates who do not meet the normal entry requirements (including candidates who hold a three year Diploma) may qualify for entry be completing a Graduate Certificate in Social Change and Development as preliminary studies, and then seek up to 40 units of credit in the Master of Social Change and Development. Admission to this program is available to Australian students, residents and international students.English Proficiency: IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
