Academic Requirements
You need the following GPA score:
Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to Lower Second Class on the UK Honour scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on the UK Honour scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).
Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).
Admission to the MRes has a minimum requirement of a 2:2 honours degree (or equivalent) in an appropriate subject area - Biomedical, Health, Medical or Life Science or other related areas. There is also provision for admission that takes into account relevant work experience within the life science sector, when the applicant has an undergraduate degree but not at a 2:2 honours level.
Applicants who have completed M-level modules with outcomes that are significantly similar to those for PMRM01 may be allowed to APEL up to 20 of those credits into Part 1. This decision will have to be made on a case-by-case basis.
International applicants where English is not their first language will be required to demonstrate English language proficiency according to Swansea University guidance for postgraduate programmes (IELTS Score 6.5/TOEFL 570).
