Admission Requirements
Academic Requirements
Students from the following BSc Eng educations from DTU are accepted automatically
- The BSc education in IT and Communication Technology
- The BSc education in Software Technology
- The BSc education in Electrotechnology
- The BSc education in Mathematics and Technology
To benefit as much as possible from the MSc program, it is recommended that elective courses in the BSc program are used to build up the necessary prerequisites.
Other BSc students may be admitted if the required prerequsites have been obtained by following appropriate elective courses during the BSc studies.
DTU B Eng Students
For DTU B Eng Students admitted after 2015 the additional courses are required:
Advanced Engineering Mathematics 1BSc Students from Other Universities
BSc students from relevant engineering educations at other universities are admitted to the programme, provided that their prerequisites are similar to one of the DTU BSc programmes from which students are directly admitted.
BSc students with relevant degrees are eligible to be admitted if their competencies in programming, algorithms and applied math are comparable to those of candidates from one of the DTU BSc programmes from which students are directly admitted. For example bachelors of Software Engineering from The Farao Islands are accepted.
B Eng Students from Other Universities
B Eng students from other institutions are admitted if they fulfill the prerequisites from DTU B Eng students. The requirements may be fulfilled by passing specified courses from a research based education prior to commencement on the MSc education, possibly as a part of the B Eng education.
International Students
Applicants for the MSc program in Digital Media Engineering should hold a BSc degree in relevant areas such as e.g. information and communication technologies or computer science. We expect applicants to master at least one programming language, have solid skills in engineering math and a strong interest in the technologies underlying either web and social interaction or computer graphics
Admission will be decided on the basis of the relevance and quality of the applicant\'s educational background. The applicant\'s grade point average or equivalent, as well as individual grades for relevant courses wil be taken into account.
English Proficiency: IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
