Program Curriculum

Course Structure

  1. Our 11 faculty in OB/HRM are researching a wide range of topics, including: aggression, diversity, emotions, ethics, fairness, leaderships, power, performance management and personality.
  2. Our 13 SCM faculty are researching topics such as sustainable and closed-loop supply chain management, manufacturing planning and control systems, information technology, inventory theory, operations management, innovation propagation in supply chains, logistics and transportation, and stochastic inventory systems.
  3. Many of our faculty are associated with research centres and groups such as the Centre for Supply Chain Management, the Centre for Strategic Leadership, the Schlegel Centre for Entrepreneurship and the Laurier Centre for Economic Research and Policy Analysis.

Academic Requirements

You need the following GMAT score:

Required score: 650

The GMAT is specifically designed for admission to business or management schools, and is meant to test how prepared you are for a business degree programme

After you have submitted your online application, paid the non-refundable application fee, and Laurier has received your application, you\'ll receive an email advising you to upload the additional required documentation to Laurier\xc2\x92s Online Viewing system.

An application for admission to our MSc in Management program must include:

  • The application summary available from the online application.
  • Transcripts of all undergraduate and graduate work.
  • A completed statement of intent.
  • An official GMAT result (minimum score of 650).1
  • A r\xc3\xa9sum\xc3\xa9 of your academic and work experience. Include a history of your publication and scholarly paper activity and any other information you feel will interest the admissions committee.
  • A sample of your scholarly writing (10-20 pages in length).2 This may be a paper written for a senior undergraduate course.
  • Completed reference forms.3 Two academic references are required. Note: Reference forms are electronically submitted to Laurier by the referee and do not need to be uploaded.

Proficiency in written and spoken English is essential to graduate studies at Laurier. Applicants whose language of instruction during their previous postsecondary education was not in English must submit evidence of proficiency in English. If applicable, results from accepted testing services must be uploaded to Laurier\xc2\x92s Online Viewing system.

1 The GMAT is not required for applicants to the Technology Management field (EMTM).

2 Applicants to the Technology Management field (EMTM) may, in lieu of a scholarly writing sample, submit a project proposal or other sample of writing related to their employment.

3 Applicants to the Technology Management field (EMTM) are required to submit two academic letters of reference from referees familiar with the applicant\xc2\x92s academic potential, of which only one may be from the current employer.

Program Requirements

  • For the OB/HRM field, you need an undergraduate (honours) degrees in business, or other fields relating to OB/HRM such as psychology or sociology.
  • For the SCM field, you need an undergraduate degrees (honours) in science, engineering, mathematics, business, economics or a related field.
  • A minimum B+ average in your undergraduate studies.
  • A GMAT score of at least 650 or a GRE score of at least 305.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Applications are reviewed by the graduate program committee, which considers all prior university grades, statement of interest, an academic writing sample, and letters of reference.

English Proficiency: IELTS 7 or equivalent.
