Admission Requirements

Academic Requirements

The requirements for\napplying are: 
  • a) a bachelor’s\ndegree (at least three years) from an institution at university level,\ngained at least by 31th July 2017 
  • b) an adequate final graduation\nmark:\nfor Italian candidates, it must\nbe equal to 90 out of 110 points or superior;\nfor international students, it\nhas to be equal to a GPA of 3 out of 4 points or superior. 
  • For NON EU students, please\nnote that UniTrento cannot guarantee that documentation without mention of the\nGPA will be taken into consideration\nc) the previous study career has\nto comply with UniTrento rules concerning this Master Degree.\nAt least 1/3 of the previous\nstudy programme (e.g. 60/180 ECTS, 60/180 credit points) has to refer to\nat least two of following fields: 
  • Sociology\nEconomics and Statistics\nLaw, Political science, Social\npolicy\nHistory, Anthropology, Psychology,\nSocial Psychology and Pedagogics 
  • Examples:\nCandidate 1 gained 30 credits in\nthe field of Sociology and 30 credits in the field of Psychology. Candidate 1\nmeets this requirement. 
  • Candidate 2 gained 50 credits in\nthe field of Economics and 20 credits in the field of Law. Candidate 2 meets\nthis requirement. 
  • Candidate 3 gained 60 credits in\nthe field of Economics and 0 credits in the other fields. Candidate 3 doesn’t\nmeet this requirement.\nd) certified knowledge\nof English language at least level B1 of the European Common\nFramework, through pertinent internationally recognized language certificate,\nor a final diploma of a Bachelor or Master course entirely held in English\ne) a previous background in\nmethodology and social research will be considered. 
  • For candidates who don’t meet the\nrequirements mentioned at points b) and c), the Evaluation Committee can take\ninto consideration other academic and extra-academic activities and/or require\nfurther documents and/ or organize a selection interview through\nconference call, in order to establish their admission or not.
