Program Overview

This two-year Programme is offered on a full-time basis at postgraduate level while covering areas in biblical studies, systematic theology, moral theology, ecclesiastical history and patristics, liturgy and church legislation. Although mainly taught, the programme is structured in such a way as to enhance student participation and research through tutorials, class-presentations and a dissertation. Career Opportunities

The Programme is mainly intended for candidates who intend to engage themselves in pastoral ministry, both as ordained as well as lay ministers in the Church. It is also intended for other individuals who wish to deepen their faith experience, and use this as a springboard to engage themselves in the field of social and pastoral care in the Church and non-Governmental organizations. The Programme enables students to proceed to the PhD programme in the Faculty of Theology.

Applicants must be in possession of: Refer to the list of country-specific qualifications a Bachelor degree obtained with Second Class (Honours) or better in Theology with a subsidiary area in Philosophy or a Bachelor degree obtained with Category II or better in Theology. The admission of applicants under paragraph (b) shall be made conditional on the result of an interview. Such applicants shall be required to follow a preparatory programme.
