Program Overview
The Master of Advocacy degree provides a comprehensive knowledge of and training in core legal subjects of a procedural nature. The main area covered during the taught component include Civil Procedure, Constitutional and Human Rights Procedure, Criminal Procedure and EU Procedure. The professional practice component is intended to prepare you for the profession of advocate, emphasising more practical studies ranging from moot courting to professional ethics. Career Opportunities
As a successful graduate, you will be able to enter a career as an Advocate. In order to be eligible to sit for the bar exam, you should be in possession of the Master of Advocacy degree.
Program Curriculum
Year 1 In addition to the compulsory study-units, students are required to register for five elective study-units (25 ECTS). Either the Year elective and a Semester 1 and a Semester 2 elective study-unit and two other electives from any semester, or one Semester 1 and one Semester 2 elective and three other elective study-units from any semester. Admission Requirements
Applicants must be in possession of: Refer to the list of country-specific qualifications the degree of Bachelor of Laws (Honours) – LL.B. (Hons) – from the University of Malta with at least Second Class (Honours) or the Diploma of Notary Public – N.P. – from this University.
