The course is based on research in areas of study pertaining to the contemporary and historic Mediterranean region, its geo-political zones of activity, its social, cultural and economic diversity and its ongoing political challenges and humanitarian concerns. In the course of your activity, you will undertake research and field inquiry based on a sound training in critical approaches to past and present issues shaping and affecting the Mediterranean region, and its place in the world. The programme creates an ideal environment to interact, debate and contribute to the enhancement of knowledge in key areas of trans-regional Mediterranean Studies. Institute provides supervisions for research in the following Key Research Areas: Democratisation, Displacement and Development: Politics and Social Change in the Mediterranean Space, Narrative and Memory: Post coloniality and Representation in the Mediterranean The Master of Arts in Mediterranean Studies (by research) is a transdisciplinary, research-led programme of studies in the rapidly growing field of Mediterranean Studies. Research projects of a comparative and cross-disciplinary character are encouraged.
