Academic Requirements

You need the following GPA score:

Required score: 2.75

Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to 2.75 on a US 4.0 grading scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on a 4.0 scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).

Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).

Admission requirements:
  • GMAT / GRE Exam

An official Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) score report / Graduate Record Examination (GRE) score report (overall score and component scores are evaluated). Please plan to take the GMAT / GRE at least 4 to 6 weeks prior to the semester in which you wish to start your graduate studies and immediately have an official copy of your score sent to the W. Frank Barton School of Business at WSU, MBA program (Code: 6B6-CG-47).

  • Grade Point Average

A 2.75 GPA in the last 60 hours of your undergraduate degree. As part of the application process, official university transcripts from your undergraduate institution must be sent to the Graduate School for evaluation.

  • Personal Goals Essay

"Personal Goals" essay that clearly articulates applicants reasons for seeking admission (500 words maximum).

  • References

TWO reference forms (Word) completed by faculty, employer or suitable referee. We will accept letters of reference, though forms are preferred.

  • Resume

Current resume (career-based work experience is desirable but not required).

  • International Student Requirement

When English is not your native language, a minimum score of 570 (paper-based) or 230 (computer-based) or 88 (internet-based) on the test of English as Foreign Language (TOEFL) is required. Or an overall band score of 7.0 on the IELTS is required.
