Program Overview
The Master's programme in Economics is an academic programme that equips you with the essential tools of economics at an advanced level, and teaches you how to apply these principles to important, real-life policy tasks. The programme focuses on economic issues and policy orientation and aims to turn you into economic generalists, while offering you the possibility to become specialists in well-defined focus areas (specialisations). This programme of study is governed by the General Regulations for University Postgraduate Awards, 2021 and by the Bye-Laws for the award of Master of Science in Economics under the auspices of the Faculty of Economics, Management and Accountancy.
Admission Requirements
Applicants must be in possession of: Refer to the list of country-specific qualifications the degree of Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) in Economics with at least Second Class Honours or the degree of Bachelor of Commerce with Economics as one of the two main areas of study, obtained with at least Category II or a degree with at least Second Class Honours or Category II, in any other area deemed relevant by the Board of Studies. Students admitted under paragraphs (b) and (c) may be required to follow and pass supplementary study-unit/s, as recommended by the Board of Studies, to which a maximum of 12 ECTS credits are assigned, in addition to the programme of study.
