Year 1 Semester 1 Compulsory Units (All students must register for this/these unit/s) BFI5410 Business Ethics 5 ECTS ISR5036 Governance and Audit Management 10 ECTS Semester 2 Compulsory Units (All students must register for this/these unit/s) INS5014 Applied IRM Research Techniques 5 ECTS ISR5037 Risk Management 10 ECTS Year 2 Year and Summer Semester Compulsory Units (All students must register for this/these unit/s) EMA5922 Dissertation 30 ECTS Semester 1 Compulsory Units (All students must register for this/these unit/s) BFI5501 Compliance Management 10 ECTS ISR5039 Sustainable Finance Regulations 5 ECTS Semester 2 Compulsory Units (All students must register for this/these unit/s) ISR5038 Prevention of Money Laundering and Funding of Terrorism 10 ECTS ISR5040 Digital Finance Regulation 5 ECTS Total credits for the award of the Master of Science in Financial Regulation and Compliance: 90 ECTS credits This programme of study is governed by the General Regulations for University Postgraduate Awards, 2021 and by the Bye-Laws for the degree of Master of Science - M.Sc. - under the auspices of the Faculty of Economics, Management and Accountancy.

Admission Requirements

Applicants must be in possession of: Refer to the list of country-specific qualifications A Bachelor’s degree obtained with at least Second Class Honours or Category II in an area of study deemed suitable by the Board, provided that applicants in possession of the degree with Third Class Honours or Category III may also be considered, if they satisfy the Board that they are in possession of other qualifications, including relevant experience, obtained following their first cycle degree. The Faculty Admissions Committee may, after thorough examination of the documents submitted in support of the qualifications presented, and following an interview, recommend the admission of applicants applying for admission in terms of the University’s Policy for the Recognition and Accreditation of Prior Learning (RPL) who are in possession of other academic or professional qualifications and documented experience if these are deemed to be comparable to the qualification referred to in the above paragraph. The admission of such applicants may be made subject to those conditions that may be imposed to address any lacunae in the applicants’ academic preparation.
