- Materials Science and Engineering; wide areas of materials science and engineering are studied. Physical and chemical properties of materials, development of new structural/smart materials and materials processing are mainly focused on.

Applicants must meet one of the following qualifications.
- The applicant has graduated from a university, or expects to graduate by the end of the
- month prior to the month in which he/she wishes to enroll.
- The applicant is recognized as possessing academic abilities equal or superior to those who meet qualification
- Many Divisions/Departments at the Osaka University Graduate School of Engineering utilize TOEIC and TOEFL scores as part of the entrance examination into their Master\'s and Doctoral Courses. Therefore it is recommended that those who are considering application take the TOEIC or TOEFL as early as possible. Since the handling of TOEIC/TOEFL scores differs depending on the year, type of entrance examination, and Division/Department (Course), please be sure to check the entrance examination guidelines for the year that you are applying.
