Course Structure
- This research masters focuses on advanced concepts and technologies related to the molecular basis of plant and microbe functions. Students will undertake two research projects within internationally recognised research laboratories located at the South Kensington campus in central London.
- Workshops and masterclasses in transferable skills are also available, these are organised by the Graduate School.

You need the following GPA score:
Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to Upper Second Class on the UK Honour scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on the UK Honour scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).
Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).
- The minimum qualification for admission is normally an upper second class (2:1) honours degree in a science-based subject from an UK academic institution or an equivalent overseas qualification.
- If your first degree is from a country other than the UK, you may find the guidelines within our Country Index helpful. Please note that these guidelines indicate the College minimum. Our requirement is usually higher.
- Candidates with a degree qualification below a 2:1 (or equivalent) but at least three years\' work experience in biology, agriculture or a related discipline may also be considered for admission \xc2\x96 contact the Course Director for advice before making an application.
- All candidates must demonstrate a minimum level of English language proficiency for admission to the College.
