Academic Requirements
- The applicant must have a Bachelor\xc2\x92s (or equivalent) degree in Mathematics from a recognized University. He/she must have a overall GPA of B- (2.67 out of 4.00). If the applicant\xc2\x92s qualifications are from a University which does not use the letter grade system, the equivalent of GPA of 2.67 and 3.00 will be determined by the Department. The College Council will be informed about the manner in which the equivalence has been computed.
- An English proficiency certificate [TOEFL:500(PBT) or 61 (IBT) or 173 (CBT) or [IELTS:6], or equivalent.
- The applicant must pass an entrance written exams set by the postgraduate committee of the department.
- A personal interview is required by the Departmental Postgraduate Committee.
- There may be prerequisites for courses in the M.Sc. Program, which an applicant must satisfy after registration for the program, in which case, the admission granted will be provisional until such time as the prerequisites are satisfied. Prerequisites which are not part of the M.Sc. Program will not carry credit towards the M.Sc. degree. The Department will determine which non-M.Sc. prerequisite courses, if any, a student will be required to pass.
