Daytona Beach Campus :
International Admissions
  • All applicants must complete an online application and submit a $50 non-refundable fee in U.S. funds.
  • All international students must provide a copy of his or her valid passport for immigration purposes.
  • One letter of recommendation must be submitted. A letter from an academic source is preferred, but a letter from a professional source will also be sufficient.
  • The SAT and/or ACT scores are optional and must only be submitted if students would like to be considered for scholarships.
Prescott Campus:
International Student:
  • Pay the $50 application fee, either by credit card or bank draft
  • Submit two letters of recommendation
  • Submit a one-page personal essay
  • If you are a transfer student please submit a leaving certificate or other proof of completion of upper secondary school
  • Submit official transcripts of all upper secondary or college/university coursework completed. To be considered official, these documents should arrive in the ERAU International Student Admissions Office directly from the school you attended in a sealed envelope.
  • Submit proof of funding for at least one year of study.
Worldwide Campus:
International Students:
International applicants must submit the application for admission 90 days prior to the term start date. The following items are also required:
  • Foreign Credential Evaluation
  • All international undergraduate and graduate applicants who have any educational experience outside the United States are required to provide an official course-by-course evaluation to include the cumulative grade point average. The evaluation must be certified by one of the Foreign Credential Evaluation Services (FCE) approved by Embry-Riddle. A fee is charged for the service and must be paid by the applicant directly to the FCE.
  • If a student has graduate-level work (either transfer or advanced standing) that is indicated on the foreign credential evaluation as meeting the requirements for an undergraduate degree, it will not be reviewed for applicability toward an Embry-Riddle graduate degree.
  • Educational systems differ country by country. The following services are well versed in providing a comparison of a country\xc2\x92s education system to that of the United States system. This comparison includes education levels, credits and grades.
All applicants must submit the following items to the Graduate Admissions Office prior to the application deadline:
  • Completed online application form and the application fee:
$50 for U.S. citizens and permanent residents ; $50 for international applicants.
  • Transcripts
  • Statement of Objectives: The statement of objectives is an important part of your application. You should give your reasons for wishing to do graduate work in the field you have chosen, incorporating your interests and your background, as well as your long-term professional goals.
  • References: Three Endorser\xc2\x92s Recommendations \xc2\x97 two academic and one professional. Forms are included in the downloadable application form.
  • Resume: A current resume outlining your past educational and work experiences.
  • Official GRE (Graduate Record Examination) report of scores taken within the last 5 years. The Embry-Riddle Prescott university code number is 4305. (Optional but highly recommended beginning with Fall 2016 enrollment).
Applicants to the MS in Mechanical Engineering program must
  • Have completed a bachelor\'s degree in an ABET accredited engineering program (or international equivalent) or closely related engineering discipline
  • Have superior academic records with a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 3.0
  • Complete the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) [Not required for ERAU students]
  • Submit a complete application package before the deadline specified in the University catalog.
  • At the time of initial offering, there is no particular threshold set for GRE score in order to be admitted; instead, that information will inform admissions decisions, as well as help to determine the level of support for both teaching and research graduate assistanceships. International applicants whose primary language is not English must also achieve the minimum score requirement of TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) or IELTS (International English Language Test System) as required by the University. Graduates of Embry-Riddle\'s Bachelor of Science in Unmanned Aircraft Systems Science may be admitted conditional on completing undergraduate engineering courses requisite for knowledge and skills to be specified at the time of admission.
