Admission Requirements

Academic Requirements

  • A first or second class honours degree in the biological sciences, or a medicine, dentistry, veterinary studies, pharmacy or nursing qualification.
  • During the Course students will need to be affiliated to a laboratory organization in order to complete a supervised research project. It is the responsibility of the applicants to arrange such an affiliation if one does not already exist. Suitable organizations include but are not limited to clinical immunology/tissue typing departments or equivalent organisations/laboratories in hospitals, higher education establishments or industry. Overseas applicants must have obtained prior acceptance of affiliation with such a department before applying for the programme. Home/EU applicants must have such an affiliation in place by the start of the course.
  • Overseas applicants should bear in mind that, as this is a part-time programme, they will not be eligible for a Tier 4 student visa.

Applications assessed by Course Coordinating Committee; candidates will be interviewed in person, or if overseas, by alternative arrangements.
