Minimum Admission Requirements
- The minimum requirements for admission to our graduate program is an Honours bachelor\'s degree from an accredited university with a minimum B+ average (8.5 on the McMaster University scale or 77% -79%) in the final year of all courses in the discipline in which the applicant proposes to do graduate work. Degrees and grades from foreign universities are evaluated for their equivalency to McMaster\'s. Students with a degree in B.Sc. Hons. in biological sciences (biology, biochemistry, medicine, pharmacology, psychology, microbiology, molecular biology, health sciences, physiology) are eligible for admission. Applicants who hold degrees in other disciplines, may be admissible to selected program areas after having taken additional courses.
- For applicants who hold a master\'s degree, the primary requirements are distinction in their previous graduate work, and strong letters of reference.
- The program will accept 1-3 students into the MD/PhD program on a yearly basis. September entry only.
English Proficiency: IELTS 7 or equivalent.
