Dalhousie’s Department of Microbiology and Immunology has a long-standing reputation for academic and research excellence, and well-funded and internationally recognized research groups. Pursue a graduate degree in virology, bacteriology, microbial pathogenesis, microbiome, cancer biology, or cellular and molecular immunology and become equipped to reach your goals in a wide range of work environments. Research is the most important aspect of our program and you’ll be supervised and mentored by world-class researchers as you explore your own independent research. We offer a competitive level of funding support to full-time graduate students through research awards and remuneration for teaching in undergraduate laboratories.
