Admission Requirements

Academic Requirements

The course is suitable for health professionals who wish to enhance their understanding and ability to work effectively with information and communication technologies. The course is also designed for graduates who wish to pursue a career as a health informatics specialist. In order to qualify for admission to the Certificate or the Diploma courses, applicants should
  • hold a three-year degree or a diploma with a major in a health related or communications technology area
or
  • have experience and/or qualifications as deemed appropriate by the Director of the UDRH.
  • As all units in the course use online resources, students need to have regular access to email and the internet. A computer with the following minimum computer configuration is recommended:
  • Intel Pentium III processor, iMac or equivalent;
  • 256 MB RAM;
  • 10Gb hard disk;
  • 17 inch monitor;
  • Windows 98, 2000 or XP, Macintosh OS 9, or later operating systems;
  • 56.6 Kbps modem (Cable Modem/DSL preferred).

English Proficiency: IELTS 6 or equivalent.
