Path to Admission
Step 1: Complete the Florida State University Application and pay the $30 application fee.Step 2: Complete the College of Music supplemental application.
The College of Music application will require you to submit the following items:
Vita/Resume
- Include education, background, experience, honors and awards, publications, names of former teachers, and any other important information.
Statement of Goals and ObjectivesValid Teaching Certification (K-12 Music)
- Admission is contingent upon having a valid Teaching Certificate for Music K-12. If you have an electronic copy of the certificate, you may upload it through the application. If you only have a physical version, a copy can be mailed to the College of Music.
- Applicants seeking certification should apply for and complete a second bachelor\'s degree in Music Education before pursuing the Master\'s degree.
- It is strongly preferred that Letters of Recommendation be submitted electronically via the secure form available through the College of Music application. Alternatively, we will accept letters submitted via email (musicadmissions@fsu.edu), regular mail, or fax.
