Course Structure
- Performance a concerto, lecture-recital, piece of written work or chamber-music performance, plus a concert recital
- Composition a portfolio of compositions
- Musicology a thesis on an approved topic, or a portfolio of work in approved subject areas
- Studio Pedagogy a combination of practical and theoretical components with a pedagogical focus
Admission Requirements
Academic Requirements
In order to be admitted to this programme, a student needs to have:
- completed the requirements for the Degree of Bachelor of Music (Honours) in the intended subject of study for the Master of Music, with at least Second Class Honours First Division
- or
- a Postgraduate Diploma in Music with at least a B+ average
- or
- completed the requirements for an equivalent qualification deemed appropriate by Senate or its representative.
English Proficiency: IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
