What you need in order to apply:

1. Two confidential Referee Appraisal Forms.* These are generated electronically to those listed on your OUAC Application form. Ensure the information is correct and the referees have been informed of their role. Referees should be able to comment on your academic background and aptitude for graduate school. Professional journalists applying for advanced standing may list professional references.
2. One Statement of Intentoutlining your interests and objectives in the MJ program. The statement should be a 2-4 page, double-spaced document that discusses who you are, why you wish to become a journalist, what you hope to achieve in our program, and what you hope to do with a Master of Journalism degree.
3. One Resum\xc3\xa9/Curriculum Vitae.
4. One set of Writing Samples \xc2\x97 ideally works of journalism. Your samples should display your skills as a writer, researcher or thinker. The samples should consist of newspaper and magazine clippings, and newsletters (all of these are to be uploaded online \xc2\x96 maximum of three). Please indicate whether your sample has been published or broadcast and include details of the airdate where appropriate. If you are uploading essays from your undergraduate degree, select those that, in your view, represent your best work.
5. One copy of Academic Transcripts/Audits from the university or universities you have attended. If you are currently completing your undergraduate degree, upload an interim transcript/audit before the February 1 deadline. Upon recommendation of admission, original official transcripts will be required.
6. One copy of your TOEFL/IELTS/CAEL/English proficiency test score*is required if your native language (usually International Applicants) is not English. U
