Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to 3 on a US 4.0 grading scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on a 4.0 scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).
Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).
Completed Online Application: via NursingCASAugusta University\xc2\x92s College of Nursing is now participating in the Nursing Centralized Application Service (NursingCAS). NursingCAS allows applicants to use a single online application and one set of materials to apply to multiple nursing programs at participating schools.
Augusta University\xc2\x92s College of Nursing receives complete and verified information from NursingCAS and is solely responsible for all admission decisions.Application Fee: $45 NursingCAS and $45 Augusta University SupplementalGPA: Minimum overall undergraduate GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Minimum Degree Requirement: Completion of a prelicensure nursing program with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree from an accredited program and an accredited college or university.
To be used to satisfy degree requirements, evaluation of foreign educational transcripts must show degrees earned that are the U.S. equivalency of degrees required by the program. Official Transcripts:
Official transcripts are required from all universities and colleges ever attended. Only in the case of transcripts from international colleges/universities will an official course-by-course transcript evaluation be accepted in lieu of an official transcript. Official transcripts should be sent to NursingCAS. To remain official, all transcripts must remain in the original, unopened, sealed and stamped/signed envelope from the Registrar\'s office of the issuing institution.
Transcript/Credential Evaluation of Foreign Transcripts: An official, professional course-by-course evaluation based on official transcripts and documents is required for all foreign educational transcripts and documents from one of the following three credentials evaluation services: Josef Silny & Associates, Inc., World Education Services (WES), Educational Credential Evaluators, Inc. (ECE). Silny and WES are recommended.
Referees should be individuals qualified to critically assess the applicant\'s prior academic (usually college professors), employment, artistic, research and/or clinical experience (clinical or research supervisor/manager) and qualifications (as applicable) as well as the applicant\'s potential as a graduate student in the field/program selected.
Once the online application is submitted, each referee will receive an email notification directing him/her to the online site where he/she can complete the reference form and submit his/her letter of recommendation.
