Admission Requirements
Academic Requirements
Candidates must meet the following criteria by the time classes begin at Yale School of Nursing:
- MSN for GEPN: November 1
Have the equivalent of a US bachelor\xc2\x92s level degree. This program is specifically designed for students with a non-nursing academic/professional background. - MSN for RNs: February 1
Have the equivalent of a US bachelor\xc2\x92s level degree and be a licensed Registered Nurse in at least one US state. International nurses may be required to have their nursing credentials evaluated and approved by the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools before they are eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the US. - Post-MSN Certificate: February 1
Have the equivalent of a US master\xc2\x92s degree in nursing (with a clinical specialization), be licensed to practice nursing in at least one US state, and have at least one year of clinical post-master\xc2\x92s nursing experience. - DNP Program: February 1
Have the equivalent of a US master\'s degree in nursing and a US RN license. - PhD in Nursing: January 2
Have the equivalent of a US master\xc2\x92s degree in nursing, or an equivalent degree with other nursing experience (for example, US RN licensure and a MPH). - Post-doc in Nursing: March 15
Have the equivalent of a US doctoral degree in nursing.
English Proficiency: IELTS 7 or equivalent.
