Academic Requirements

  • Normally, a BN or BScN with courses in undergraduate statistics and nursing research. A grade of at least a B is generally required for these courses.
  • Normally, a cumulative GPA of at least 3.3 or B+ level.
  • Registration or eligibility for registration as a registered nurse in the province of New Brunswick (Nurses Association of New Brunswick), which includes International Applicants. Must be registered by September of year the student begins.
  • Three references – one referee should be able to describe the applicant as a learner or provide an academic reference.
  • A written statement of the applicant’s professional interests and career goals. Applicants should indicate any ongoing competing demands on their time and the modifications they propose to make to integrate the extensive time commitment needed to complete program requirements (course work, practica, and thesis research/project).
  • A completed application form
  • English Proficiency: IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
