Academic Requirements
Typically, you should have one of the following
\xc2\x95 an honours degree or equivalent in food, wellbeing, health or biological science
\xc2\x95 an HND in a related subject with significant relevant experience
\xc2\x95 substantial relevant experience at a senior level \xc2\x96 with evidence from referees, performance on training courses or further education qualifications, showing you are capable of gaining a postgraduate qualification
We also expect at least one A level in science or equivalent. If you do not have this but are capable of masters level study, you will be considered individually.
Overseas applicants from countries whose first language is not English must normally produce evidence of competence in English. An IELTS score of 6.0 with 5.5 in all skills (or equivalent) is the standard for non-native speakers of English. If your English language skill is currently below an IELTS score of 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in all skills we recommend you consider a Sheffield Hallam University Pre-sessional English course which will enable you to achieve an equivalent English level.
