Academic Requirements

  • Prospective applicants should have a Bachelor\'s degree in such areas as the physical or health sciences or engineering. Since this is an interdisciplinary program there are no specific prerequisite courses.
  • All applicants must satisfy the general regulations and academic standing requirements (at least a B+ average) of the Faculty of Graduate Studies of UBC. 
  • All students must provide demonstration of proficiency in quantitative skills as evidenced by either a score of at least 76% or B+ on an undergraduate course such as mathematics, statistics, physics or completion of the Graduate Record Exam

English Proficiency: IELTS 7.5 or equivalent.
