- This programme is a research programme leading to the submission of a dissertation and the format is as provided in the University of Malaya (Master\x92s Degree) Rules 2010 and University of Malaya (Master\x92s Degree) Regulations 2010.
- Where the Faculty deems it necessary a candidate may be required to follow or follow and pass such course or course(s) as determined by the Faculty.

- \xc2\xa0A Bachelor\xc2\x92s degree with Honours or equivalent in a programme of study consisting of a significant courses in physical sciences; or
- A Bachelor\xc2\x92s degree in physical sciences and -
- Other qualification approved by the Senate from time to time.
English Proficiency: IELTS 6 or equivalent.
