Academic Requirements
You need the following GPA score:
Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to 3 on a US 4.0 grading scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on a 4.0 scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).
Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).
- A minimum of a bachelor\'s degree (BA/BS) or the equivalent from an accredited institution is required.
- To be eligible for admission, students will have at least a 3.0 (B) grade point average.
- Individuals may apply to only one graduate program.
- Upon completion of the application and receipt of the application fee ($90 for US citizens and permanent residents, and $110 for international applicants), or \xc2\x96 alternatively \xc2\x96 once the application fee waiver application has been approved, an admission file is established by the Graduate Division. All supporting documents (i.e. transcripts, letters of recommendation, etc.) are sent directly to the individual graduate programs (refer to the SPECIFIC instructions within the online application for the program applied to on what documents to send and the mailing address to send them to). Graduate programs will retain a copy of the official transcripts and will forward the originals to the Graduate Division.
- In addition to meeting the same admission requirements domestic students must meet, international applicants from non-English speaking countries must also demonstrate proficiency in English by completing one year of study with a minimum GPA of 3.00 at an accredited college or university in the United States, OR by obtaining the following minimum scores on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) \xc2\x96 administered by ETS, or the IELTS - International English Language Testing System. Test scores are valid from these institutions for a maximum of 2 years from the test date.
