Admission Requirements
Academic Requirements
Applicants to the pastoral ministry and theological studies programs should submit the following information in addition to the online application:
- Official academic records of all previously attended colleges or universities must be submitted directly from the colleges or universities to the Office of Graduate Admission Processing. Hand-carried transcripts, official copies marked Issued to Student and unofficial copies are not acceptable.
- Three letters of recommendation from professors or employers.
- A personal statement explaining the applicant\'s desire to study theology at the University of Dayton.
- Results from the GRE are not required for applicants to the M.A. programs. However, candidates are welcome to submit a score in support of their application.
Academic RequirementsTwenty-four semester hours of undergraduate course work in philosophy and theology/religion with a minimum grade-point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale is recommended. Those with limited or no academic background in theology may be admitted on a conditional basis.
English Proficiency: IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
